Hi, I'm Gary Dawson, I'm glad you are here!
My goal is to bring "manufacturing consciousness" into digital design in the jewelry industry. It is my belief that our industry has suffered from too many people becoming "jewelry designers" without having a clear understanding of manufacturing processes, or the beating jewelry takes when worn on the body. With over 40 years of designing and manufacturing custom jewelry, and repairing jewelry made by others, I bring a perspective of manufacturability and endurance to my Rhino instruction. A well-designed jewelry piece should have both aesthetic and structural integrity, and those things start with the first forming curve you make when using digital design.
